Warning Signs in Pregnancy

The following signs may be a warning of a problem developing with your pregnancy. Call the office if you experience any of these symptoms

Vaginal bleeding heavy enough to require wearing a pad

Fever over 100.4

Severe headache

Blurring of vision or spots before your eyes

Severe stomach pain or cramps

Sudden weight gain or severe swelling of hands, face or legs

A gush or flow of watery fluid from the vagina

Marked decrease or stopping of fetal movement after 28 weeks

Burning with urination, or blood in the urine

Uterine contractions more than six an hour, occurring prior to 36 weeks

Severe shortness of breath or chest pain

Any other dramatic changes in your health status

If you feel you are having a problem and need to be seen, please call the office as early in the day as possible – 425-455-0244. Our office phone lines open at 9:00 AM, Monday through Friday. If your regular doctor is out of the office, the doctor "on call", nurse practitioner or physician assistant is available for advice or medical care. After hours, the answering service will put you in touch with the on-call physician.
